About Me:

I have always had a passion for working with kids and teens, and I truly enjoy every connection I make with my clients. I believe everyone is capable of greatness and has all the strengths and resources they need inside. My job is simply to provide a safe, warm space where they can feel comfortable being themselves, and together we discover ways to meet their goals.

I have experience working with all ages, but I primarily work with ages 8 to 18. I am trained in using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and incorporate that throughout all of my sessions. That being said, I also like to use other kinds of activities depending on each client’s needs. For younger kids, I often use play-based or art-based interventions. I enjoy using activity-based interventions like sand tray and art for older teenagers. I believe in having the client decide what we do, so each session can look different and a variety of activities can be used.

I have over a year of experience working at a local non-profit agency, TCU’s Riverside FRC Counseling Clinic, a private practice, and a local mental health facility. In my time there, I worked with problems of depression, anxiety, anger and bullying, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, behavior problems, relational problems, school issues, and grief/loss. I also recognize how difficult parenting can be, especially when your children are having difficulties of their own. That’s why I love to partner with my parents and provide resources and strategies so that you can also get some help!

In my free time, I am often doing something outside with my fiancé, painting or doing crafts, baking, or planning my wedding! My fiancé and I also have a Great Dane, a Weiner dog, and two cats, so we can get pretty busy keeping up with them!
