About Me:

My passion is helping clients learn how to cope with life’s challenges while guiding them to discover their strengths. I believe that this process is supported through a strong therapeutic relationship where my clients feel safe, comfortable, and heard.

I have over 14 years of counseling experience working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, behavior problems, social navigation challenges, history of abuse, and trauma. I am a Registered Play Therapist and a Certified AutPlay® Therapy Provider, which is designed to meet the needs of neurodivergent children. I am a TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner, which helps guide my work with children and families with a history of abuse, neglect, or trauma.

I have had the opportunity to work and live in many different states and even served as a teacher in Indonesia for three years, but Texas has been my home for the last 20 years. My counseling career started by working with survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and trauma. I have 11 years of experience as school-based counselor, including nine years as a Special Education Counselor.

I am a wife and a mom of two teenagers. I spend my extra time running my kids around, trying to get a workout or yoga session, and feeding my addiction to audiobooks and podcasts. My favorite things are strong coffee and binge-watching Sci-Fi shows with my husband. I love big road trips and hiking in national parks.
