About Me:

My joy is to work with kids, teens, and adults. I love the growth that happens over those years and enjoy walking beside adolescents and families on that journey. Building a strong, trusting relationship is my goal!

As a counselor with over 20 years of experience, I integrate an eclectic style in my work with teens and adults, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also have training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for individuals struggling with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I strive to make therapy an engaging and interactive experience for my clients. I utilize activity-based and creative interventions for teens, all while building an atmosphere of trust and safety, and providing support for parents.

My experience as a middle school and high school counselor has allowed me to work with a wide range of challenges that teens face today. Many of the teens I work with struggle with relational problems, anger management, low self-esteem, peer conflict, anxiety/social anxiety, depression, school issues, grief/loss, and difficulties coping with life’s problems. Parenting kids and teens can be tricky as you try to navigate supporting your child’s emotional health while enforcing rules and boundaries. I can help partner with you to find the right balance.

My husband and I have five children, ages 13 to 25, so we are busy! I love to do anything outdoors, work out, and travel. I spend my free time reading, watching Netflix, and cooking new recipes.
