About Me:

Hello! I'm Macy, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to join you on your counseling journey. Having lived in various regions of Texas, I have a deep appreciation for the diverse landscapes and people of our state. I find joy in connecting with others through creative avenues like play, art, and movement, which greatly influence my counseling approach. My educational background has equipped me to counsel individuals of all ages, from children aged 4 and above to adolescents and adults, as well as groups, utilizing an existential perspective.

In essence, I am committed to assisting you in addressing the core challenges of your existence while guiding you toward a deeper sense of authenticity, awareness, self-compassion, and meaning in your life. As your counselor, you can expect collaboration, honesty, curiosity, and focus from me.

For children under 10, I specialize in a particular approach known as Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). This method involves engaging with your child as they express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences using toys and materials in our playroom. With adolescents, I enjoy utilizing developmentally appropriate activity-based therapies like sand tray. With adults, I tailor my approach based on a combination of activity and talk therapy, adapting to the individual's needs. In our sessions, my top priority is ensuring that you feel heard and understood as we address your concerns together.

My favorite self-care activities include scrapbooking, reading fiction, practicing yoga, and spending time outside. I aspire to help you reconnect with similar aspects in your life that bring you a sense of fulfillment. I am genuinely excited to embark on this journey with Reach Counseling during my internship. Let’s connect to see if I am a good fit for you and your family.
