About Me:
Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m so glad you are here. I believe deeply in the power of counseling to change lives. That belief shapes the way I work: my approach is warm, accepting, and always encouraging. Whether you're seeking support for your child, teen, or yourself, my goal is to help you recognize abilities and resilience you may not yet see.
I love working with children ages 3 and up, utilizing Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) a research-backed approach that helps children build confidence, improve emotional regulation, and develop self-advocacy skills. I also use AutPlay®, a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based framework that celebrates each child's unique neurological profile. I partner closely with caregivers because the progress made in therapy is most meaningful when it continues at home. I have specialized training through the Center for Play Therapy and am working toward my Registered Play Therapist credential.
For teens and adults, I primarily use Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), bilateral stimulation, and expressive modalities. As both a neurodivergent person and the parent of three twice-exceptional children, I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a distance runner, an avid reader, and a theatre person at heart. Counseling has changed my life, and it's a privilege to help others experience that same hope and healing. I look forward to getting to know you and working together.
